Safari Yangu
Volunteer at a non-profit that shares immigrant stories in the form of videos or written pieces. Volunteers include Columbia students and alumni. I designed and created the website, run and manage all social media accounts and help run events. (2017- current)
CSW 62
Lead speaker at the UN Women Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 62). Spoke about the role that technology could play in the life of the rural woman.
Immigrant Run
Safari Yangu's first Immigrant Run, focused on spreading awareness about immigrant issues, sharing more immigrant stories and supporting DACA.
African Women Against Gender-Based Violence and Slavery
Local NGO in New York that host events focused on empowering women and educating people on violence and slavery throughout the world. (2018)

Abba Java Coffee House
Volunteer at a coffee shop ran by the St.Paul's United Methodist Church and Wesley Foundation. I volunteer to give out fresh coffee and donated food to college students. The coffee shops focus is giving students a safe place to study and stay while serving refreshments. Volunteering with the church has been an amazing experience because I get a chance to give back to my college community while mixing christianity, my religion, with it. (2015-2016)
Penn State Involvement Fair
Volunteer at the biggest career fair at Penn State. The fair runs in the Bryce Jordan Center, where hundreds of companies come to recruit Penn State students. As a volunteer I was assigned to sign in students, give them directions, provide refreshments, help companies set up and cleaning up the venue after the event.(2016)
Crop Mobs
Volunteer in an organization that has groups of volunteers from Penn State and the community to help local farmers for a day. The volunteers learn about agriculture and about local farming. (2015)
Fresh Start
A service day that is run by Penn State that encourages students to help out the local community. While participating in Fresh Start, I helped clean up a littered forest, repaint a farmhouse and help build infrastructures of damaged houses. (2013)
